Welcome!
Hi! This site is a place for me to organize and link out to all the different stuff I do and am interested in. You can find all my past projects (games, videos, websites, and photography), as well as what I'm working on right now (like, for example, a three-part video series about the history of transportation in the Santa Cruz Mountains as far back as the 1850's). Plus, there's pages for other stuff I'm interested in - like which bad movies I've been watching recently, which public transit systems I've ridden, and a whole politics section complete with character shrines for George Bush and Bill Clinton! I've also made a shrine for my favorite movie, The Strange One, and hope to make more soon.
There's no particular reason I decided to theme this homepage around Windows 7 - mainly I just thought it would look cool, and be a fun way to practice CSS. I've seen plenty of websites themed around older OS's like Windows 95, the first PC's I ever used ran on Windows 7 so I have a lot of nostalgia for its design. I wrote all the HTML and CSS myself, as well as most of the javascript (with the exception of the draggable windows and the VLC progress bar, which I shamelessly stole from the internet!). Please don't go digging around in my code, it's very messy :)
When I'm not making really cool websites, I'm a college student studying game design. Game design is mostly about communicating information, so I found my existing experience with graphic design transferred pretty easily, and what I learned in game design classes ended up being helpful in making websites! Whenever possible, I try to take classes in other fields I'm interested in, too - so far, that's been environmental science, Japanese, and urban planning. I'm hoping to also get some web design, journalism, and film photography/developing classes in before I graduate!
